The audio quality is flawless. No noise, no popping sounds, the voice comes over crisp and warm. I like the voice and the presentation of the text. Very comprehensible, adequate speed and appropriate positioning of pauses.
The text itself is interesting and provokes thought, which is great. However, it did not make me completely change the way I think about money. Plus, the hypothesis about the cheapest food becoming the most expensive is questionable in my opinion. Having said that, I like the episode about the sluggishness of social and economic transitions.

'when something is newer, people don't know how to think, because they aren't used to it'
This is a very wise statement and the resulting consequences can unfortunately be seen very clearly during the current crisis.

All in all this is a inspiring, thought-provoking and technically very well done piece of audio.

Thanks for your review!! The other part of that statement you quoted, btw was "they need more time to catch up to something that's older." Just in case you wanted to know.

edit:

You can feel free not to agree with some of my points but from a historical viewpoint-It's true.

What is the oldest food that man first ate? Before farming, before hunting. Fish! Everyone supposedly ate fish... (According to biblical times that is.) Fish is currently one of the most expensive foods. A swordfish steak, uncooked, can cost up to 20 dollars. Even the cheaper fish like pollock is at least 7 dollars for a box of small in size fillets, compared to 3 for a large pizza at my local grocery.

Edit Number two. Although beans may not be the most expensive food currently in flat raw number, price, it has risen greatly in percentage from its price decades ago compared to some other less popular foods, which are also more expensive but percentage wise not as much...

Edit number 3: Wow I wrote a lot. The last thing... usually Governments pay for part of the cost of necessary foods before you buy it, in a lot of countries actually... "Necessary" being the key word here, I don't mean chocolate. So it's sometimes a bit harder to notice the real price of some of the things you may buy at a grocery store.

I like the heavy guitar sound. Also the growly sound of your vocals are great, but when you hit "foooor" you're quite out of tune with the instruments. Depending on what you try to achieve, I would work on improving that. But really good job for a first attempt. I guess if I'd try that I wouldn't be able to speak for about a week.

EclipseProduction responds:

That's interesting because I'm trying to think how else I could do that but not sure what note I should hit. But yeah I haven't practiced vocals in a long time, so this started out as "just for fun" and then I realized they don't sound as bad as I thought they would lol. Appreciate the feedback!

Was a pleasure listening to your song. Don't understant a word, but I like the uplifting and at the same time melancholic feeling the song conveys. What I don't like so much ich this... let me call it "volume wobbling" in the lower frequency range, especially in the first part of the song. Can't find better words for it right now. Furthermore, in my opinion there's a little too much weight on these low frequencies, but apart from that, I think it's a very decent and clear mixing. Since I'm a fan of more expansive pieces of music, I would have liked to hear more of the very nice quiet parts. More would have been more in this case =)
The solo guitar from at around 2:50 is very well placed and gives the piece a deserved end.

Thanks for your review Maruquop! We tried our best with the bass record we made, it might be a mic issue that went through after recording. We'll try our best for our next project together, glad you liked the composition, really appreciated!

Mixing these kind of rock projects is a new challenge for me, glad it turned out ok being this the first time I'm trying :)

I think it's amazing. In my opinion it's by far the best instrumentation of all your works posted here on ng. What libraries are you using?
And hey, come on, no need to complain so much. People without experience in a specific area will never really understand how much hard work is involved in producing something you love. It's the weight most artists have to carry. Just accept the love you get back =)

sleepFacingWest responds:

Thanks for listening. I'm not *really* complaining. It was a bad attempt at overdramatic humor, but I can absolutely see how it flopped.

The strings are Spitfire chamber (my first time using them, and I'm impressed). The woodwinds are East West Hollywood Woodwind. The percussion is all over the place. The glockenspiel is from East West Goliath (I think, or maybe symphonic orchestra...I bounced between the two quite a bit for awhile in this project). The Woodblocks, slapstick, and xylophone are from Cinesamples CinePercussion. The drum set is Abbey Road 50's Drummer. I think I'm forgetting a couple, but those are the bulk.
